Hats off to Puranjot Kaur who made it nearly half way around Mount Desert Island on Friday, before being pulled from the water late on Friday afternoon, after swimming approximately 20 miles and having swam for nearly 10 hours in the Atlantic.

The attempt to Swim 'Round the Rock was a fundraiser for Open Table MDI, an amazing group, that has been offering FREE delicious and nutritious  meals to the community for the last 3 years, serving from the Bar Harbor Congregational Church

Open Table MDI was recently awarded a $50,000 grant to help greatly expand their programming. Puranjot hopes to match this funding before, during, and after her swim. If you would like to donate please click HERE and make your donation

Puranjot spent the night at MDI Hospital Friday night as a precautionary observation as she was experiencing hypothermia. Saturday morning, Bo Greene and group of Puranjot's fans gathered outside her hospital room to show her their love and support. According to her husband she was standing at her window, looking upon the scene, and crying tears of joy. They were there at 7 a.m. when she was scheduled to have finished the swim.
