Price and Red Sox Rocked in Texas Lose 11-5 Thursday

David Price was rocked in Texas allowing 7 earned runs in 3.2 innings Thursday night, and the Boston Red Sox started their 10 game road trip with a loss, losing to the Texas Rangers 11-5.

Price allowed 9 runs, 7 of which were earned on 6 hits. He struck out 4 and walked 2.  Price is now 2-4 on the season and has an ERA of 5.11

Mookie Betts was 2-4 with his major league leading 12th homer of the season and a double. JD Martinez was 2-5 and Christian Vazquez was 2-4. Xander Bogaerts had a double.

The Red Sox are now 22-9, just 1 game ahead of the 2nd place New York Yankees, who are 21-10. The Red Sox will play 3 more games against the Texas Rangers while the Yankees open a 3 game home series against Cleveland.
