Presque Isle Girls Beat MDI 40-31 [STATS&PHOTOS]

The Presque Isle Girls Basketball Team beat MDI 40-31 in Bar Harbor on Friday, December 20th.

Presque Isle jumped out to a 16-5 lead in the 1st Quarter and led 27-17 at the end of the 1st Half. But MDI changed up their defense, going full-court pressure and cut the lead to 32-27 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. MDI cut the lead to 3 points in the 4th Quarter before Presque Isle pulled away for the 9-point win.

Presque Isle was led by Georganna Curtis who had 19 points, including 4 3-pointers. Lenora Curtis finished with 9 points. Marion Young and Carrilyn Buck each had a 3-pointer. The Wildcats were 6-7 from the free throw line.

MDI was led by Lexi Tozier with a game-high 21 points. Lilli Hanf had 7 points, including a 3-pointer. The Trojans were 6-11 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle, now 4-1 will play at Ellsworth on Saturday, December 21st at 1 p.m. That game may be watched on the free Ellsworth HUDL page.
