Pair of Trojans Honored By Big East Basketball Coaches

The Big East Basketball Coaches selected their final regular season Big East Boys and Girls Player of the Week, for Week 10 of the regular season, and a pair of Trojans were selected: Maddy Candage for the Girls and Brett Duley for the Boys!

In the Trojans final 2 games of the regular season, a 47-35 win over Foxcroft Academy and a 45-23 win over Ellsworth, Candage had 28 points, 20 rebounds, 5 steals, and 7 assists. The MDI Girls Basketball Team finished the regular season with a 16-2 record. They are the Big East Champions and begin Tourney 2019 as the number 1 seed. They will play MCI the 9th seed, Saturday afternoon, February 16th at 4:30 PM at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. Brett Duley helped lead the Trojans to a 2-0 week with a 81-61 win over Foxcroft Academy Ponies and a 49-37 win over the Ellsworth Eagles. In those 2 games he had 37 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. The Trojans finished the regular season with a 13-5 record and begin Tourney 2019 as the number 3 seed. They will play Ellsworth, the 6th seed, to open the Tourney, Friday night, February 15th at 5PM at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
