Paid Parking Ends in Bar Harbor on October 30 and Ledgelawn Avenue to Close to Traffic Halloween
There's no need to feed the parking kiosks in Bar Harbor effective Thursday, October 31st, as the paid parking ends!
It will take a little bit for the Public Works Department to cover/remove the kiosks for the year, but just know that you won't have to pay to park after 9 p.m. on October 30th.
Our friends at the Bar Harbor Police Department have let us know that that they will be shutting down Ledgelawn Avenue to vehicular traffic from about 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Halloween, Thursday October 31st to accommodate all the trick-or-treaters!
Remember if you are driving in any residential area on Halloween, from dusk-on, to be mindful of all the trick-or-treaters. All those little ghouls and goblins have candy on their brains and may forget the need to check both ways when crossing the road in their pursuit of that giant candy bar! Let's keep everyone safe!
Happy Halloween!
