One Dead in Northern Maine Crash

An Aroostook County man died Saturday after his car crossed the center line on the Robinson Road and crashed into an oncoming car.

Nathan Smith, 64, of Blaine was traveling east in a 1998 Toyota Corolla at about 5:45 p.m. when he crossed into the westbound lane. Smith struck a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Spencer Garrison, 19, of Blaine who was traveling west.

Smith died at the scene and Garrison was treated and released at the scene.

Both vehicles sustained substantial damage in the crash.

The investigation is continuing.
