Omlor’s Half Court Short Was Worth $110
Congratulations to Keegan Omlor who sank a half court shot on his first attempt on Tuesday night, December 17th, in the Ellsworth High School All Sports Booster Club's Shoot to Win Contest.
The Shoot to Win Contest works like this:
At every varsity home basketball game.fans can buy a ticket for just $1.00, and if their ticket is chosen they’ll have the chance to “shoot to win”. They have to make a layup, a foul shot, a 3 pointer, and a half court shot all in under a minute. and the half court shot has to be on the first try. If they make all the shots, they get half of the pot.
The Ellsworth High School All Sport's Booster Club has put in $100 to start, and the pot continues to roll over every game. If the person doesn’t make the shot, they get a free snack and drink from the concession booth.
With Omlor's win, the Ellsworth High School All Sport's Booster Club has put in another $100 to prime the pot for the next round, starting with the December 18th Boy's game vs. Orono.
