Old Town Girls Rally to Beat MDI 40-33 [PHOTOS/STATS]

The Old Town Girls rallied from a 11 point deficit in the 3rd Quarter and came back to beat MDI 40-33 in Bar Harbor on Tuesday night, January 14th.

Old Town was 1-7 from the foul line in the 1st 3 Quarters but went 7-7 in the 4th Quarter. Conversely, MDI who were 3-4 in the 1st 3 Quarters, went 3-8 in the 4th Quarter.

MDI led 10-6 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 17-12 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led 28-23 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Old Town took the lead for good with about 4:25 left to go in the game.

MDI was led by Lexi Tozier with 12 points, going 6-8 from the free throw line. Lily Norwood had 8 points, including 2 3-pointers. Calleigh Trenholm had a 3-pointer. MDI was 6-12 from the free throw line.

Old Town was led by Taylor Loring with 13 points. Karina Dumond had 11 points. Sophie Morgan had a 3-pointer. The Coyotes ended the game 8-14 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 7-3. They will travel to East Machias to take on Washington Academy on Thursday, January 16th at 6:30 p.m.

Old Town is now 7-4. They will play at Presque Isle on Saturday, January 18th at 12:30 p.m.
