No More Whining – Sawyer’s Specialties Wine Shop Opens in Northeast Harbor [PHOTOS]

If you live in Northeast Harbor you no longer have to drive to Southwest Harbor for a bottle of wine, now that Sawyer's Specialties has opened another location in Northeast Harbor on Main Street.

Members of the Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce and Scott Worcester joined together for the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon to celebrate the store's opening.

Please note that readers have inferred that wine bottles were not available prior to Sawyer's Specialties arrival, and that is not true.

In Northeast Harbor the Pine Tree Market sells wine. In Southwest Harbor, in addition to Sawyer's Specialties, the Southwest Food Mart as well as the Liquor Locker sell bottles of wine, and recently Little Notch in Southwest Harbor has begun selling wine as well. In Bar Harbor there are numerous places to buy bottles of wine.
