The Narraguagus Knights nipped the Woodland Dragons 5-4 in the team's opening game of the season on Thursday, April 17th.

The game was tied 4-4 before the Knights scored the winning run in the top of the 7th inning.

Woodland outhit Narraguagus 9-5 but the Knights took advantage of 7 Woodland errors.

McKade Robertson started for Narraguagus and pitched 6.0 innings, striking out 11 and walking 1. He allowed 8 hits and 4 runs to pick up the win. Ben Thompson pitched the 7th inning, for the save. He struck out the side and walked 1 and allowed 1 hit.

Liam O'Neill started for the Dragons. He went 3.0 innings, allowing 3 hits and 4 runs, although just 1 was earned. He struck out 2 and walked 3. Micah Chesebrough took the loss, allowing 2 hits in 4 innings. He allowed 1 unearned run, striking out 2 and walking 3.

Ben Thompson went 2-3 for Narraguagus. McKade Robertson, Miles Worcester and Charles Willey each had a single.

For Woodland, Micah Cheesebrough was 3-4 with a pair of doubles and 2 runs batted in.. Ethann Coleman, Gaige Farrar and Wyatt Cropley each had a double. Isaac Downing, Liam O'Neill and Nolan Sewell each singled.

Narraguagus is now 1-0. They will host Lee Academy on Friday, April 25th at 3 p.m.

Woodland, now 0-1 will host Schenck on Monday, April 21st at 3 p.m.
