Downtown at the pier, the ceremony began at 10AM with music by the Conners Emerson Band. The National Anthem was performed by Lorrain  Bunker Smart and prayer was offered by Reverend Rob Benson. The keynote speaker was Greg Johnson of the Summit Project and then Secretary of State Matt Dunlap, a native of Bar Harbor spoke.  The Conner Emerson Band played  again and then the ceremony concluded with the playing of Taps by Brian Booher and the laying of the wreath by the US Coast Guard Station Southwest Harbor
