MDI’s Amelia VanDongen and Desiree Sirois Recognized by Maine Sunday Telegram

Congratulations to MDI High School's Amelia VanDongen and Desiree Sirois for being recognized by the Maine Sunday Telegram.

VanDongen was named to the Girls' Cross Country All-State Team. This past season she won the PVC Large School and Northern Maine Class B races before finishing 2nd at the State Class B Meet. She finished 5th in the Festival of Champions in Belfast and 54th at the New Englands.

Sirois was named Coach of the Year. This was MDI Girls' Cross Country Team's 11th State Title, and 5th under Desiree. They won State Titles in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2021 and now again in 2024.
