The Tri-M Music Honor Society is the international music honor society for middle/junior high and high school students. The MDI High School Branch will be holding a fundraiser called a Practice-A-Thon where participants are collecting donors to sponsor them for each minute they practice their musical instruments.

According to Sarah Knox, the president of the MDI High School Chapter of the Tri-M, 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the NAACP Legal Defense  and Education Fund. The event will take place on Saturday, June 27th from 5 - 7 p.m.

Interested musicians in practicing and raising money, should contact Sarah Knox at 21sknox@mdirss.org or Laura Yeadon at 21lyeadon@mdirss.org. For those wishing to sponsor participants, you can do so by the minute or with a flat donation. If you don't know of a participant, you can reach out to Sarah or Laura at the emails above

All participants will be live streaming their practice from 5 to 7 p.m on June 27th. For more information you can visit the Facebook Event Page
