Presque Isle Girls Basketball Stuns MDI With Fourth Quarter Rally

The Presque Isle Girls Basketball Team drove down to Bar Harbor on a chilly Friday night, and came away with a 43-40 win, resulting in major changes in the Class B Heal Point standings.

MDI took a 11-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter and led 23-18 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led 30-27 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Avery Norwood with 12 points including a 3-pointer.. Lilli Hanf and Ella Watson each had 10 points. The Trojans were 7-10 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle was led by Marion Young with 12 points. Young, Rhianna Desjardins, Maddy Putnam, Breanna Burlock and Emily Collins each had a 3-pointer. The Wildcats were 8-14 from the free throw line.

Presque Isle is now 10-5 with 3 games remaining against Fort Kent, Hermon and Caribou.

MDI is now 10-5 with 3 games remaining against Hermon, John Bapst and Ellsworth. The Hermon game on Tuesday, January 27th at Hermon tips off at 7 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, our FREE downloadable APP and any Alexa enabled device.
