MDI Volleyball Opens Season with Victory Against Woodland In Straight Sets

The MDI High School Volleyball Team opened their season Friday afternoon with a straight set victory over Woodland. The individual game scores were 25-7. 25-5 and 25-14.

We got off to a strong start and once we started rolling that momentum carried us to the finish line. I thought the team did a good job working together and keeping the energy up throughout. Everyone played and it’s always good to start off with a win. We still have work to do and hopefully we can build on this beginning.

• Bailey Goodell: 7 aces, 1 kill
• Cecilia Saltysiak: 4 aces, 1 kill, 1 dig, 18 rotation points
• Sharyn Lipski: 1 ace, 3 kills

MDI is back on the court, Tuesday, September 7th when they host Washington Academy at Bernard Parady Gymnasium at 5:30 p.m.
