MDI Volleyball Beats Ellsworth 3-0 for Northern Maine Class C Regional Championship [PHOTOS]

The MDI Volleyball Team beat Ellsworth 3-0 for the Northern Maine Class C Regional Championship on Wednesday, October 29th at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor. The individual set scores were  25-18, 25-12, and 25-20

MDI Stat leaders included

• Janiece Anderson: 9 kills, 4 aces, 11 digs
• Cora VanDongen: 8 kills, 8 digs
• Grace Sinclair: 3 kills, 19 digs, 1 assist
• Thalia Thomas: 4 aces, 25 assists, 15 digs
• Annabel Curry: 4 kills, 1 block
• Ella Watson: 2 kills, 5 aces, 7 digs
• Lanaia McDaniels: 2 kills, 4 digs, 1 block
• Lily Byer: 1 ace

MDI will now move on and play Gardiner, the #1 seed out of the South at Hampden Academy on Saturday, November 1st at 1 p.m. Gardiner defeated Wells the #5 seed, in straight sets to win the Southern Maine Regional Championship.
