MDI Volleyball Beats Hampden Academy in Straight Sets 3-0

The MDI Volleyball Team beat the Hampden Academy Broncos in straight sets 3-0. The individual set scores were 25-16, 25-20 and 25-23.

Individual MDI standouts included

• Alexis Jones 4 Kills, 3 Aces, 1 Dig, 1 Block Assist
• Grace Sinclair passed 2.4 in serve receive, 5 Digs
• Daley Foss 3 Kills, 2 Assists, 5 Digs, 1 Block Assist

The MDI JV won 2-0 with individual set scores of 25-20 and 25-17

MDI is now 4-1 and will host Bucksport on Wednesday, September 25th at 5:30 p.m.

Hampden Academy is 3-2 and will play at Brewer on Monday, September 23rd at 6 p.m.

We are taking nominations for outstanding performances for  Week 3, for the week September 16 21st. Please nominate a athlete by sending a email to Chris Popper.. In your nomination please include stats, the school and why they should be athlete of the week. Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, September 22nd, with voting taking place September 23rd-26th with the winner of Week 3 being announced on September 27th.
