MDI Volleyball Beats Camden Hills 3-0

The MDI Volleyball Team opened their 2024 season with a 3-0 straight set win over Camden Hills at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor on Thursday, September 5th. The individual game scores were 25-16, 25-11 and 25-12.

It was Whitney Walls first win as MDI Volleyball's new head coach.

MDI Stat Highlights included

• Lauren Davis - 2 Kills, 2 Aces, 1 Dig
• Lexi Tozier - 3 Kills, 2 Aces
• Alexis Jones - 2 Kills, 4 Aces
• Scarlett Squires - 2 Kills, 3 Aces
• Lily Byer - 5 Aces, 1 Assist.

The MDI JV Team also beat Camden Hills 3-0 with the individual set scores 25-7, 25-8, and 25-16.

• Allison Burrill  - 1 Kill, 7 Aces
• Bixby Hawkins - 4 Aces
• Ella Watson - 4 Aces, 1 Kill
• Lanaia McDaniels - 4 Aces

The 92.9 The Ticket High School Athlete of the Week has begun. We are taking nominations for outstanding performances for  the week September 2 -7th. Please nominate a athlete by sending a email to Chris Popper.. In your nomination please include stats, the school and why they should be athlete of the week. Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, September 8th, with voting taking place September  9th-12th with the winner of Week 1 being announced on September 13th.
