MDI Volleyball Advances Beats Nokomis in Quarterfinals 3-1

The #3 seeded MDI Trojan Volleyball Team advanced to the semifinals, after defeating #6 Nokomis Warriors 3-1 in the PVC Large School quarterfinals Thursday night at Bernard Parady Gymnasium. The individual set scores were 23-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-12

MDI Stat leaders were

• Nevaeh Warren: 7 aces, 9 kills, 1 assist
• Addy Boyce: 6 aces, 8 kills, 2 assists, 1 dig
• Molly Ritter: 7 aces, 6 kills, 4 digs
• Victoria Del Cid: 1 ace, 23 assists, 4 digs

We got off to a slow start and Nokomis started strong. But we picked it up in the second set and finished strong with our best hitting and passing of the season. Hopefully that means we’re headed in the right direction!
