MDI Unified Basketball Battles Orono [PHOTOS]

In a high scoring contest in Orono on Friday afternoon, February 1st the MDI Unified Basketball Team was nipped by Orono 78-68. But like all Unified games, there were no losers, as fans  and players cheered loudly for each shot, and made basket, and the sportsmanship on both teams was exemplary.

For MDI Aaron Lichtenstein had 26 points, Nicholas Kadin had 22 points, Isaac Philbrook 12 points and Spencer Rose 8 points.

For Orono Isaiah Walker, Damian Jenkins, Jeremiah Torres, Taylor Lane and Benny Cobo-Lewis did the majority of the scoring.

MDI plays at Ellsworth on Monday, February 4th and then hosts Ellsworth on Wednesday, February 6th.
