The MDI Trojans shutout the John Bapst Crusaders 10-0 at Husson University on Tuesday, May 5th as Preston Tripp went 3-3 and drove in 4 runs.

Tripp had a double and reached base all 4 times he came to the plate, waking once. He also started the game on the mound for the Trojans, pitching 4.1 innings and allowing 1 hit, striking out 9 and walking 1.

Allister Frongillo closed out the game, retiring the final 2 batters, striking out both, and allowing a hit.

Frongillo and Alex Roos each hit a triple, with Roos driving in a run.

Colin Sullivan was 3-4 from the leadoff spot, with a double and driving in 2 runs. Ben Ingram and Eli Macdonnell each had a single and drove in a run,

Tripp ran wild on the basepath, with 5 stolen bases. Frangillo, Alex Roos and Cameron Graham each had a stolen base.

Abe Pendergast and Jxson Soxbeson had the lone hits for the Crusaders.

Ian Boudreau started on the mound for the Crusaders and he went 4.0innings allowing 5 hits and 5 runs, striking out 7 and walking 3. Logan Martin pitched the final inning allowing 5 hits and 5 runs, walking 1.

MDI is now 4-2 and will travel to East Machias to play the Washington Academy Raiders on Friday, May 8th at 4:30.

John Bapst is 2-2 and will host the Hermon Hawks on Thursday, May 7th at 4:39 p.m
