MDI Trojans Defeat John Bapst Crusaders In 10-5 Victory

The MDI Baseball Team doubled up the John Bapst Crusaders, winning 10-5 on Wednesday, May 27th as the Trojans outhit John Bapst 15-5.

Spencer Grierson pitched a complete game for MDI. He allowed 5 hits and 5 runs, 4 of which were earned. He struck out 6 and walked 1.

Aiden Ouellette pitched for the Crusadrs. He allowed 15 hits and 10 runs, all earned. He struck out 7 and walked 3.

Alister Frongillo swung the big bat for MDI he was 2-4 with a double and home run, driving in 3 runs, and scoring 3 times.

Colin Sullivan was 2-2 with a double and run batted in. Alex Roos was 2-4 with a double and 2 runs batted in. Ben Ingram was 2-4. Eli Macdonnell was 3-4 with a run batted in. Mason Lapointe was 1-4 with a double and run batted in. Preston Tripp , Cameron Graham and Spencer Grierson each singled.

MDI stole 6 bases. Tripp had 2 bases and Roos, Frongillo, Graham and Lapointe each swiped a bag.

Cooper Lewis and Ian Boudreau each had 2 singles for the Crusaders with Lewis driving in a pair of runs. Bode Phillips had a single.

Lewis swiped 3 bases for John Bapst and Boudreau had a stolen base.

MDI is now 8-4. They will play at Hermon on Thursday, May 28th at 4:30 p.m.

John Bapst is 6-8. They will host Hermon on Friday, May 29th at 4:30 p.m.
