MDI Softball Beats Foxcroft Academy 13-2 [PHOTOS]

The MDI Trojans Softball Team opened the 2026 season with a 13-2 win over the Foxcroft Academy Ponies on Tuesday, April 28th in Bar Harbor.

Ella Watson picked up the win for the Trojans. She pitched a 5 inning complete game, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs, 1 of which was earned She struck out 6 and didn't walk a batter

At the plate Alahna Terry was 4-4 with a double and drove in 2 runs.

Hannah Lawson was 3-3, with a pair of doubles and drove in 5 runs.

Watson helped herself at the plate with a single and drove in a run Grace Hodgdon was 2-4 . Addy Dowsland and Grace Sinclair each had a single.

The Trojans stole 5 bases. Dowsland, Cate Brown, Hodgdon, Sinclair and Trinity Foss Brown each had a stolen base.

Addison Menz, Jenna Hartford and Lili Bisson each had a hit for the Ponies.

Bisson took the loss for the Ponies in the circle. She struck out 4 and walked 3.

Foxcroft Academy is 0-3. They are set to host Caribou in a doubleheader on Saturday, May 2nd.

MDI 1-0 will play at Old Town on Wednesday April 29th.
