MDI Softball’s 3 Game Winning Streak Ends Fall to Foxcroft Academy 7-2

The MDI Trojans had played 3 games in as many days, winning all 3, but the 4th in four days, proved a little too much, as the Trojans fell to the Foxcroft Academy Ponies in Bar Harbor Thursday afternoon, May 10th 7-2.

Lindsey McEachern took to the circle for the Trojans and pitched a complete game, allowing 9 hits, and 7 runs, 4 of which were earned. She struck out 5 and walked 3.

Mackenzie Beaudry picked up the win for the Ponies, going the distance and scattering 3 hits. MDI's 2 runs were unearned. Beaudry struck out 14 and walked 6.

For MDI Lindsey McEachern, Hannah Chamberlain and Emily York had singles. McEachern and Chamberlain each had a stolen base.

For the Ponies Jenna Clukey was 3-3 with a triple. Beaudry had a double and Cailin Seavey, Kiara Prescott and McKenna Higgins each had a single. Sheryl Chase had 2 singles.

MDI is now 5-4 and will be off on Friday, May 11th before playing their 5th game in the week on Saturday, May 12th when they play host to the John Bapst Crusaders.

Foxcroft Academy is now 7-1 and off until Tuesday, May 15th when they will play at Husson University against the John Bapst Crusaders
