MDI Softball Shutout on Senior Recognition Day 8-0

The MDI Softball Team was shutout 8-0 on Senior Recognition Day on Friday, May 25th. It was the last regular season home game for Madison Thornton.

MDI only managed 4 hits off of Old Town's McKenna Smith. Lindsay McEachern was 2-4. Madison Thornton and Maddie Jones each had a single.

Lindsay McEachern allowed 8 runs, although only 1 was earned. She gave up 11 hits and struck out 12. She walked 2.

Smith struck out 14 and walked 3 for Old Town and picked up the win.

For Old Town Olivia Albert was 3-4 with a double. Mikayla Kenny and Olivia Westura each had 2 singles. Morgan Love, McKenna Smith, Hannah Sibley and Corrine Saucier each had a single.

MDI is now 9-6 and plays their final game of the regular season Tuesday, May 29th at Ellsworth at 4 PM.

Old Town is 14-1 and plays their final game of the regular season Tuesday, May 29th at 4:30 PM at home against John Bapst.
