MDI Softball Shutout at Old Town 9-0 [PHOTOS]

The Old Town Coyotes opened their 2022 season with a 9-0 win at home against MDI on Tuesday, April 26th.

Old Town's pitcher had 12 strikeouts while Addy Boyce struck out 5 for MDI.

Old Town scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd, 2 in the 3rd, 1 in the 4th and added 2 runs in the 5th inning.

For MDI Grace Horner had 3 singles. Bailey Goodell and Taylor Grant had 2 singles each. Olivia Gray had a double. Lily James and Addy Boyce each had a single.

Emma Crews had a 2 doubles and a single to lead the Coyotes attack. Saige Evans had a double and 2 singles. Gabby Cody and Kami Turner each had a double and single. Jada Roy had 2 singles. Emily Wheeler and Elizabeth Magoon each had a single.

Old Town is 1-0 and is scheduled to play at home against Bangor on Thursday, April 28 at 4;30 p.m.

MDI is 2-1 and is scheduled to play at Foxcroft Academy on Friday, April 29th at 4;30 p.m.
