MDI Softball Falls to Hermon 8-2

The MDI Softball Team fell to the Hermon Hawks 8-2 on Thursday, May 4th in a game played in Bar Harbor.

Lindsey McEachern pitched a complete game for the Trojans, allowing 12 hits,  and 5 earned runs. She walked 1 and struck out 3.

Batting-wise Madison Neal had 2 singles, and McEachern, Lily Cook, Gabbie James and Emily York all had singles for the Trojans. MDI left 9 runners on base during the game.

Breanne Oakes pitched a complete game for the Hawks, for the win, allowing 6 hits while walking 2 and struck out 10.

Laura Zenk led all batters with 3 hits, with 2 doubles and a single. Hailey Perry had a double and a single and Megan Chamberlain and Chloe Raymond each had 2 singles for the Hawks.

MDI is now 2-2 and will play host to Foxcroft Academy on Friday, May 5th at 4:30 PM

Hermon remains perfect on the season at 6-0. The Hawks are scheduled to play Ellsworth Saturday May 6th at 1 PM.
