MDI Softball Falls to Foxcroft Academy 6-1

The MDI Softball Team fell to Foxcroft Academy 6-1 on another rainy Thursday afternoon, May 11th in Dover-Foxcroft.

MDI took the lead in the top of the 1st inning, scoring on an error. Foxcroft Academy tied the score in the bottom of the 1st inning with a single by Kiara Prescott. The score remained that way until the bottom of the 5th inning, when Foxcroft Academy scored 5 runs thanks to 2 hits and 3 fielder's choices.

For MDI, Lindsey McEachern  was in the cirlcle  giving up 3 hits, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs while striking out 8.

Mackenzie Beaudry pitched her second consecutive no-hitter, having no-hit Ellsworth on May 10th too. She struck out 12 and walked 4.

MDI is now 2-5 and plays a doubleheader at Presque Isle on Saturday, May 13th at 12 Noon and 2 PM.

Foxcroft Academy is 7-2 and will play host to Hermon on Tuesday, May 16th at 4:30 PM
