MDI Softball Falls to Bucksport 8-1

The MDI Softball Team lost their opening game of the 2019 season, falling to the Bucksport Golden Bucks 8-1 in Bucksport.

Mikayla Tripp was dominant in the circle for Bucksport striking out 17 Trojans. MDI's lone hit came off the bat of Lindsey McEachern.

Lindsey McEachern took the loss for MDI, pitching a complete game striking out 8 and walking 6. Bucksport had 10 hits.

Mikayla Tripp had 2 hits including a home run. Brittney Dewitt, Abby Hanscom and Kaylee Gray each had 2 hits.

MDI is 0-1 on the season and will play host to Hermon on Tuesday April 23 at 4:30
