MDI Softball 1-Hit By Foxcroft Academy

The MDI Trojan Softball Team was 1-hit by the Foxcroft Academy Ponies as Foxcroft Academy beat MDI 13-0 in a mercy rule shortened game on Thursday, May 16th.

Mackenzie Beaudry allowed just 1 hit, a double to Olivia Gray pitching a complete game for Foxcroft Academy. She struck out 11, walking 3.

Emily York pitched for MDI and allowed 15 hits, striking out 2 and walking 1.

Beaudry helped her own cause at the plate, going 2-3 with a home run and double. Amber Richard was 4-4 at the plate and Cailin Seavey was 3-4. Sheryl Chase had 2 hits including a double. Karis Dankert, Hannah Sprecher, McKenna Higgins and Ava Rayfield each had a single.

MDI is now 6-6 and will host Bucksport on Tuesday, May 21st at 4:30

Foxcroft Academy is 7-2 and is scheduled to play at Dexter on Friday, May 17th at 4:30
