MDI Sailing Finishes 7th in O’Day Qualifier on April 13

Coach John Macauley and 5 MDI High School sailors left Bar Harbor at 3AM on Saturday, April 13th to compete in the O'Day Qualifier hosted by Milton Academy at Marina Bay in Quincy, Massachusetts.

According to Coach Macauley, winds were westerly around 10 knots in the morning, increasing to 15 knots in the afternoon with puffy clouds in the morning and sunny skies in the afternoon.

The Trojans finished 7th out of 10 teams. Competing were Alec Fisichella (skipper) and Joe Minutolo (crew) in the A rotation for races 1-6, and Jacob Peabody (crew) for races 7-10. In the B rotation competing for MDI were Lucas Ingebritson (skipper) and Nate Ingebritson (crew).

Up next for MDI - Sail Maine at Yarmouth this Saturday, April 20th.
