MDI Marathon Will Split $40,000 to 23 Local Groups and Organizations

The MDI Marathon's Board of Directors announced that they will be splitting $40,000 among 23 local groups and organizations.

This year's beneficiaries include:

  • Acadia Wildlife
  • Acadian Youth Sports
  • Bar Harbor Food Pantry
  • Bar Harbor/MDI Rotary
  • Cranberry Isles Ladies Aid Society
  • Downeast Feral Cat Connections
  • Ellsworth Cross Country
  • Friends of Acadia
  • Harbor House Community Center
  • Island Connections
  • Island Housing Trust
  • Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry
  • MDI Hospital
  • MDI YMCA
  • MDI High School Boy's Soccer
  • MDI High School Girl's Soccer
  • MDI High School Cross Country
  • Move Free Run Club
  • The Neighborhood House
  • SPCA of Hancock County
  • Southwest Harbor-Tremont Ambulance
  • Westside Food Pantry
  • YWCA of MDI

In addition to the gifts above, the MDI Marathon will continue to fund 2 annual scholarships awarded to MDI High School graduating seniors.

The 2025 MDI Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 19th.
