MDI JV White Rallies to Beat John Bapst 41-35 [STATS]

The MDI JV White Basketball Team rallied to beat the John Bapst Crusaders Wednesday, February 3rd at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor, 41-35

John Bapst jumped out to a 11-8 lead in the 1st Quarter. Andrew Day had 6 points for the Crusaders, while Hayden Bay had a 3-pointer and Bryce Stenzel had 2 points. For the Trojans, Ethan Sosa had 4 points while Aiden Grant and Shane Lumbatis each added a bucket.

In the 2nd Quarter, John Bapst outscored MDI 11-9 to increase their lead to 22-17. For John Bapst, Day had 5 points, Bay 4 points and Stenzel went 2-2 from the free throw line. For MDI Sosa had a 3-pointer. Camden Barker, Jack While and Aiden Grant had 2 points. MDI was 0-9 from the free throw line.

In the 3rd Quarter MDI outscored the Crusaders 10-6 to cut John Bapst's lead to 1 point, 28-27. Ethan Sosa led MDI with 5 points including a 3-pointer. Jack White had 4 points with a 3-pointer and Shane Lumbatis was 1-2 from the free throw line. For John Bapst, Zach Norman, Andrew Day and Hayden Bay each had a bucket.

In the 4th Quarter MDI outscored John Bapst 14-7 to win the game. Ethan Sosa and Jack White each had 5 points with a 3-pointer. Dade Hawkins hit a line drive 3-pointer and Lumbatis was 1-2 from the free throw line. For the Crusaders Andrew Day had 5 points with a 3-pointr and Hayden Bray had a bucket.

John Bapst was led by Andrew Day with a game high 18 points. Hayden Bay had 11 points. The Crusaders were 3-7 from the free throw line

MDI was led by Ethan Sosa with 17 points while Jack White had 11 points. The Trojans were 3-16 from the free throw line.

The MDI JV White Team is back in action on Saturday, February 6th when they play host to Sumner at 3 p.m. That game will be broadcast on the MDI NFHS Page (subscription)
