MDI JV White Defeats GSA 43-28 [RECAP/STATS/PHOTOS]

The MDI JV White Basketball Team defeated the GSA JV2 Boys Basketball Team on Monday, March 1st 43-28 and will play Ellsworth Wedneday, March 3rd at 3:30 p.m. in Bar Harbor.

MDI jumped out to a 16-7 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Aiden Grant had 6 points for MDI, while Jack White, Jay Haney and Ben Lipski each added 2 points. Patrick Dagan had 5 points for GSA while Cameron Charette had 2 points.

GSA cut into MDI's lead, outscoring MDI in the 2nd Quarter 10-8, to cut the lead 24-17 at the end of the 1st Half. For GSA Coby Reynolds had 5 points with a 3-pointer. Jordan Acapora had a 3-pointer and Cameron Walden was 2-5 from the free throw line. For MDI Shane Lumbatis had 4 points, while Ben Lipski had 4 points with a field goal and going 2 for 2 from the free throw line.

In the 3rd Quarter MDI extended their lead outscoring GSA 15-4 to extend their lead to 39-21. Joey Minutolo, Aiden Grant and Jack White each had 4 points, while Ben Lipski had a 3-pointer. For GSA Walden and Patrick Dagan each had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter, GSA outscored MDI 7-4. Jack Gaspar had a 3-pointer, while Walden and Brady Pert each had 2 points. For MDI Jay Haney and Jack White each had 2 points.

MDI was led by Aiden Grant with 10 points and Ben Lipski had 9 points. The Trojans were 2-6 from the free throw line

GSA was led by Patrick Dagan with 7 points while Cameron Walden had 6 points. The Eagles were 4-9 from the free throw line.

MDI will play Ellsworth Wednesday, March 3rd at Bernard Parady Gymnasium at 3:30 p.m. That game will be live-streamed on the MDI High School NFHS Channel (subscription required)
