MDI JV Green Beats Ellsworth JV2 49-38 [STATS]

The MDI JV Green Boys Basketball Team defeated the Ellsworth JV2 Team Thursday afternoon, February 11th, 49-38 at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor.

MDI jumped out to a 15-8 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Jack Hodgdon had 7 points including a 3-pointer while Matt Levesque, Joey Wellman-Clouse, Evan Ankrom and Bayley Baldridge each chipped in a basket. For Ellsworth Wyatt Bragdon hit a 3-pointer and Cruz Coffin and Andrew Herrick each added a basket while Casey McDonald was 1-2 from the free throw line.

In the 2nd Quarter Ellsworth outscored MDI 11-7 to cut the lead to 22-19 at the end of the 1st Half. For Ellsworth Coffin added 4 more points with Bragdon and Herrick each adding 2 points. For MDI Ankrom had 3 points with Hodgdon and Jameson Weir each adding a basket.

In the 3rd Quarter both Ellsworth and MDI scored 13 points, making the score MDI 35 Ellsworth 32 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Sam Sinclair, Harley Henderson, Alex Yeadon, Evan Ankrom and Wade Null each scored a basket with Hodgdon adding a 3-pointer for MDI. For Ellsworth Cruz Coffin had 5 points with a 3-pointer. Wyatt Bragdon had a 3-pointer, Andrew Herrick had a basket and was 1-4 from the free throw line and Isaiah Corson added a bucket.

In the 4th Quarter MDI outscored Ellsworth 14-6 to put the game away. Ankrom had 5 points with a 3-pointer. Joey Wellman-Clouse had 4 points, Alex Yeadon was 3-4 from the free throw line and Hodgdon had 2 points. For Ellsworth Wyatt Bragdon and Noah Young each had a 3-pointer.

MDI was led by Jack Hodgdon with 14 points while Evan Ankrom had 12 points. MDI was 6-12 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Wyatt Bragdon and Cruz Coffin each with 11 points. The Eagles were 2-8 from the free throw line.

MDI is back in action on Saturday afternoon, February 13th hosting Hampden Academy. The game will be broadcast on the MDI NFHS Network (subscription required) with the tip-off at 11 a.m.

Ellsworth is back in action, Friday afternoon, February 12th when they play at Brewer, tipping off at 3:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Brewer You Tube Channel
