MDI Hangs on to Beat Ellsworth 6-5 in Last Regular Season Game [PHOTOS]

The MDI Trojans scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning and held on to beat the Ellsworth Eagles 6-5 in the last regular season game of the 2025 season.

Taylor Grant picked up the win for MDI in the circle. She allowed 6 hits and 5 runs, 2 of which were earned. She struck out 8 and walked 5

Anna Stevens took the loss for Ellsworth. She allowed 5 hits and 6 runs, 2 of which were earned. She struck out 6 and walked 1.

For MDI Taylor Grant had a single and drove in 2 runs, helping herself at the plate. Hannah Lawson had a double and drove in a pair of runs Ella Watson had a single and dove in a run. Ali Horner and Grace Hodgdon each had a single.

Ella Watson and Lanaia McDaniels each had a stolen base for MDI.

Anna Stevens had a double for Ellsworth. Cam Clough had a single and drove in 2 runs. Kaylee Bagley and Maddie Damon each had a single and drove in a run. Jayden Sullivan and Mya Schildroth each had a single.

MDI finishes the regular season with a 8-8 record while Ellsworth finishes with a 9-7 record. Both teams have qualified for the playoffs.
