MDI Girls Tennis Opens with Win at Hampden, Boys Lose to Broncos

The MDI Tennis Teams traveled to Hampden on Friday, April 23rd to open the 2021 season on a sunny, but windy afternoon. The Girls won 6-0 but the Boys fell 0-6. Here are the individual match results

Girls

• 1st Singles Lelia Weir won 8-5
• 2nd Singles Taber Allen won 8-2
• 3rd Singles won by Forfeit
• 1st Doubles Addy Smith/Olivia Chandler won 8-6
• 2nd Doubles Jane Pope/Julia Perconti won 8-6

Boys

• 1st Singles Westy Granholm lost 6-8
• 2nd Singles Finn Seyffer lost 3-8
• 3rd Singles Jameson Weir lost 2-8
• 1st Doubles Jack Hodgdon/Marshall Reiff lost 6-8
• 2nd Doubles Whit Chaplin/Moses Lincoln lost 1-8

The Tennis Teams return to the court on Monday, April 26th when they play the Brewer Witches at Brewer at 4 p.m.
