MDI Girls Open Preseason with a 57-16 Loss to Bangor [PHOTOS]

The MDI Girls Basketball Team opened their 2021-22 preseason with a 57-16 loss to the Bangor Rams at Red Barry Gym on Saturday afternoon, November 27th.

Bangor led 18-4 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 27-9 at the end of the 1st Half. At the end of the 3rd Quarter the score was 44-11.

MDI was led by Emily Carter and Olivia Gray with 4 points a piece. Gray had MDI's lone 3-pointer. The Trojans were 3-8 from the free throw line.

Bangor had 3 players in double figures. Taylor Coombs had a game high 12 points while Emmie Streams had 11 points and Abbie Quinn finished with 10 points.

Cassidy Ireland had 2 3-pointers for the Rams and Coombs had 1 3-pointer. The Rams were 10-17 from the free throw line.

The MDI Girls are back in action on Wednesday, December 1st when they host Brewer at 5 p.m. at Bernard Parady Gymnasium
