MDI Girls Fall to Hermon 49-38 Tuesday [STATS/RECAP]

The MDI Girls Basketball Team couldn't contain the Hermon Hawks in the 2nd Quarter Tuesday night, as the Hawks outscored MDI 15-2, and fell 49-38 in Hermon on Tuesday, February 23rd

The score was tied 10-10 at the end of the 1st Quarter as MDI went on a 8-0 run. Elena Alderman and Leah Carroll both drained 3-pointers and Emily Carter and Olivia Gray each had 2 points for the Trojans. For the Hawks Sydney Gallop had a 3-pointer, Jade Leeman had 3 points and Allie Cameron and Meg Tracey each added a bucket.

In the 2nd Quarter Hermon outscored MDI 15-2 to take a 25-12 lead at the end of the 1st Half. Leeman had 7 points to pace Hermon, with Maddie Lebel, Charlotte Caron and Meg Tracey each adding a basket and Gallop going 2-2 from the foul line. For MDI, Elizabeth Jones had their lone points.

Both teams scored 12 points in the 3rd Quarter and the Hawks led the Trojans 37-24 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. For MDI Elizabeth Jones had 4 points and Elena Alderman, Emily Carter, Grace Witham and Leah Carroll each chipped in 2 points. For Hermon jade Leeman had 7 points including a 3-pointer. Faith Coombs had a 3-pointer and Meg Tracy was 2-2 from the free throw line.

In the 4th Quarter Elena Alderman had 2 3-pointers for MDI. Carroll, Olivia Gray each had a basket and Mollie Gray had 4 points, going 2-3 from the free throw line. Hermon made their free throws in the 4th Quarter going 8-12 from the line. Charlotte Caron had 7 points, going 3-3 from the line. Meg Tracey was 2-4 from the line. Leeman was 2-3 from the line. Allie Cameron was 1-2 from the line.

MDI was led by Elena Alderman with 11 points. The Trojans were 2-5 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Jade Leeman with a game high 19 points. The Hawks were 16-24 from the free throw line.

The MDI Girls Basketball Team is back in action on Thursday, February 25th at 7 p.m when they play host to Ellsworth in the final game of the regular season.
