MDI Girls Fall to Hermon 38-32 [PHOTOS]

The MDI Girls Basketball Team spotted Hermon a 16-2 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter and fought back the rest of the game but weren't able to overcome the large initial deficit, falling to the Hermon Hawks 38-32 at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor on Wednesday, January 8th.

Hermon led 16-2 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 21-9 at the end of the 1st Half. It was 29-21 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Rachelle Swanson with 11 points. Leah Carroll had 7 points. Emily Carter, Swanson and Carroll each had a 3-pointer. The Trojans were 7-10 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Grace Page with 13 points while Paige Plissey had 12 points. Plissey had a 3-pointer. Hermon was 7-14 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 7-3 and will play host to Orono on Friday, January 10th at 7 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Hermon remains undefeated at 10-0. They will play host to Presque Isle Saturday, January 11th at 3:30 p.m.
