MDI Girls Fall to Hampden 46-35 [STATS]

The MDI Girls Basketball Team fell to the Hampden Broncos 46-35 at Hampden Academy on Saturday afternoon, February 13th.

Hampden Academy led 15-6 at the end of the 1st Quarter but a strong 2nd Quarter by MDI outscoring Hampden Academy 12-6 cut the deficit to 21-18 at the end of the 1st Half. But Hampden Academy padded their lead in the 3rd Quarter outscoring MDI 17-7 to lead 38-25.

MDI was led by Leah Carroll with 10 points while Olivia Gray had 9 points. Elena Alderman had MDI's lone 3-pointer. The Trojans were 4-9 from the free throw line.

Hampden Academy was led by Bella McLaughline with a game high 14 points while Emma Haskell had 10 points. The Broncos hit 4 3-pointers, with Haskell draining 2, and Taylor Gardner and Camryn Neal eaching sinking 1 3-pointer. Hampden Academy was 2-2 from the free throw line.

MDI will play GSA on Friday, February 19th at home at 4:30 p.m. That game will be live streamed on the MDI High School NFHS network, (subscription required)
