MDI Girls Defeat GSA 51-9 [STATS/RECAP]

The MDI Girls Basketball Team defeated George Stevens Academy 51-9 in a game played Thursday afternoon, February 18th in Bar Harbor.

MDI jumped out to a 21-0 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Emily Carter had 7 points with a 3-pointer. Mollie Gray had 5 points. Leah Carroll had 4 points and Olivia Gray had a 3-pointer from the left corner while Elena Alderman had 2 points.

It was 29-0 at the Half, with Leah Carroll adding 4 points in the 2nd Quarter and Mollie Gray and Sophia Brophy 2 points each.

In the 3rd Quarter GSA got on the scoreboard thanks to a 3-pointer from Emily Hutchinson. Meanwhile for MDI Sophia Brophy had 3 points, and Abbie Farley and Mollie Gray added 2 points each.

In the 4th Quarter Grace Witham had 6 points for MDI while Abbie Farley had 5 points with a 3-pointer and Bella Brown had 4 points. For GSA Eleanor McMillan had 6 points.

MDI was led by Mollie Gray with 9 points while Leah Carroll had 8 points.

GSA was led by Eleanor McMillan with 6 points.

MDI is back in action Saturday, February 20th at 2 p.m. when they play at Old Town. That game will be live-streamed on the Old Town NFHS network (subscription required)
