MDI Girls Cruise Past Houlton 66-15 [PHOTOS/STATS]

The MDI Girl's Basketball Team cruised past the Houlton Shiretowners 66-15 on Saturday afternoon, February 1st in Bar Harbor.

MDI never trailed leading 26-1 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 47-9 at the end of the 1st Half. MDI led 59-9 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Every Trojan who was available scored. MDI was led by Ella Watson with 11 points, with a 3-pointer. Lexi Tozier had 10 points. Lily Norwood, Rylee Reece and Calleigh Trenholm each had a 3-pointer. The Trojans were 8-11 from the free throw line.

Houlton was led by Reagan Wright with 8 points. The Shiretowners were 5-11 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 10-6 and has 2 games remaining, home against Foxcroft Academy on Monday, February 3rd and at Ellsworth on Tuesday, February 4th at 7 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame starting at 6:40 p.m.

Houlton is now 2-15 with 1 game remaining, at home against Old Town on Tuesday, February 4th at 6 p.m.
