MDI Girls Beat Oceanside 51-31

The MDI Girls traveled to Rockland on Friday, December 14th and beat the Oceanside Mariners 51-31.

The MDI Girls jumped out to a 14-7 lead and led 19-16 at the end of the 1st Half. The MDI Girls put the game away with a 12-6 3rd Quarter to take a 31-22 lead, before outscoring the Mariners 20-9 in the 4th Quarter.

MDI was led by Maddy Candage with a game high 21 points. Julia Watras was in double figures again with 17 points. . Alexis Clariot and Olivia Gray each drained 3-pointers. MDI was 9-14 from the free throw line

Oceanside was led by Hope Butler with 15 points, including 3 3's. Grace Woodman had 9 points with 2 3's. Kalli Gover also had a 3-pointer. The Mariners were 5-6 from the free throw line.

MDI, now 3-0 will travel to East Machias on Monday, December 17th to play the Washington Academy Raiders at 6:30PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Oceanside, now 0-3 plays host to Camden Hills on Tuesday, December 18th at 6:30PM.
