MDI Girls Beat Caribou 52-45 [STATS/PHOTOS]

The MDI Girls Basketball Team handed the Caribou Vikings their 1st loss of the season, beating them 52-45 on Saturday afternoon, December 21st in Bar Harbor.

MDI led until Caribou took the lead with 3:40 left to play in the 3rd Quarter. MDI led 16-11 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 27-22 at the Half. But Caribou took a 40-37 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter. MDI roared out in the 4th Quarter, outscoring the Viking 15-5, to take the game 52-45.

MDI was led by Lily Norwood with 12 points and 3-3-pointers. Lilli Hanf and Lexi Tozier each had 11 points. Hanf had 3 3's. Ella Watson finished with 8 points, including a 3-pointer. The Trojans were 5-8 from the free throw line.

Caribou was led by Madelynn Deprey with a game-high 16 point. Liv dams had 09 point. Ainsley Caron had 2 3-pointers while Brianna Levesque and Lilly Bell each had a 3-pointer. The Viking were 7-13 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 2-1. They will play at Houlton on Friday, December 27th at 12 noon. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP, and on any Alexa enabled device

Caribou is 5-1. They will play at Washington Academy on Saturday, December 28th at 1:30 p.m.
