MDI Girls Beat Brewer Witches 54-43 [PHOTOS]

For the first time since February 2019 fans were allowed into Bernard Parady Gymnasium to watch a MDI Basketball game! They were treated to a preseason exhibition doubleheader between the MDI Trojans and Brewer Witches. In the first game between the girls, MDI came out on top, winning 54-43.

MDI led 11-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 23-18 at the end of the 1st Half. MDI stretched their lead in the 3rd Quarter to lead by 7 points, 41-34

MDI was led by Olivia Gray with 12 points and Elizabeth Jones with 11 points. The Trojans were 12-18 from the free throw line and had 2 3-pointers, 1 each by Olivia Gray and Mollie Gray

Brewer was led by Allie Flagg with 12 points while Jenna McQuarrie had 8 points. The Witches were 19-27 from the free throw line in the game, including going 12-13 in the 3rd Quarter, when they scored 16 points in total. Brewer had 2 3-pointers, 1 each by Kaylee Dorr and 1 by Allie Flagg

The MDI Girls Basketball Team will head to Gardiner on Saturday, December 4th where they will play Gardiner at 1 p.m. and then Sanford at 2:30 p.m. Fans should note that Gardiner is not allowing fans to attend these games.

MDI-Brewer Girls Basketball December 1, 2021

The MDI Girls Basketball Team played host to the Brewer Witches at Bernard Parady Gymnasium on Tuesday, December 1st. It was the first time fans were allowed in to a basketball game since February 2019 and it was so nice to welcome them back!
