MDI Girls Basketball Falls to John Bapst 55-51 [STATS/PHOTOS]

The John Bapst Crusaders rallied from 10 points down and came back and beat the MDI Trojans 55-51 on Saturday, January 18th.

MDI led by 18-11 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 31-25 at the end of the 1st Half. The Crusaders outscored MDI 18-5 in the 3rd Quarter to take a 43-36 lead.

MDI was led by Lexi Tozier with 16 points. Calleigh Trenholm had 12 points. The Trojans drained9 3-pointers in the game. Trenholm had 3 3's. Lily Norwood and Lilli Hanf each had 2 3-pointers and Lexi Tozier and Ella Watson each had a 3-pointer. MDI was nearly perfect from the free throw line, going 10-11.

John Bapst was led by Claire Gaetani who had 24 points. Stella Goetz had 13 points with 3 3-pointers. Anna Smith and Sophia Ward each had a 3-pointer. The Crusaders were 4-5 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 7-5. They will play at Hermon on Wednesday, January 22nd at 7 p.m.

John Bapst is now 7-5. They are scheduled to play at Old Town on Monday, January 20th at 7 p.m.
