MDI Girls at Washington Academy – Thursday February 9

Playoff seedings are at stake tonight, when the MDI Trojans Girls Basketball Team travels to East Machias to take on the Washington Academy Raiders. Tip-off of the game is at 6:30 p.m.

The Trojans start the day is 6th place with a 10-7 record, while Washington Academy is in 4th place with a 10-7 record. Houlton is in 5th place, with their regular season done with a record of 9-9. A MDI win, would move the Trojans into the 4th spot, and a bye into the Tournament.

Foxcroft Academy who is currently in 7th spot, behind MDI, has 2 games left, at home against Dexter tonight, and on the road at Presque Isle tomorrow. If Foxcroft wins both games, they could move up as high as 4th.

Should MDI lose tonight, they would go into the Tournament either 6th or 7th and would have a home prelim game.
