MDI Falls in Quarterfinals 2-0

The MDI Trojans Baseball Team's season came to an end in South China, as they fell to Erskine Academy 2-0 in a Class B North Quarterfinal playoff game on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Matt Perconti was the tough luck losing pitcher for the Trojans, pitching a complete game allowing just 4 hits, striking out 9 and walking none.

Nathan Harrington-Howard was the winning pitcher for Erskine Academy pitching a complete game, allowing 4 hits, striking out 6 and walking 3.

Erskine Academy scored 1 run in the 4th inning and added an insurance run in the 6th inning.

Alden Fournier had a double for MDI, and Drew Shea, Mac Shea and Derek Collin had a single.

For Erskine Academy Bjorn Jorgenson, Cody Taylor, Nicolas Turcotte and Noah Bonsant had singles.

MDI finishes the season with a 11-7 record.

Erskine Academy is now 14-3 and will play the winner of the Hermon - Presque Isle game
