MDI-Ellsworth Unified [PHOTOS]

The MDI and Ellsworth Unified Basketball Teams battled at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor on Monday, March 6th with the Ellsworth Eagles coming away with a 42-39 victory. The Gym was packed with fans with lots of applause, cheering and even a few tears as the crowd cheered on both teams.

Ellsworth's Brandon Garland led all scorers with 14 points. Makayla Chase had 12 points for the Eagles, Kyle Hallett had 8 points, Rene Ouellette had 6 points and Robbie Walters had 2 points for the Eagles.

For MDI Zach Johnson had 10 points, Sara St. Clair had 8 points, Jacob Fallica had 8 points, Cameron Swan and Faith Mitchell each had 4 points, Isaac Philbrook drained a long 3-pointer and Aaron Lichtenstein had 2 points for the Trojans.

The MDI Unified Team plays host to Bucksport on Wednesday, March 8th at 4 PM.

The Ellsworth Unified Team plays at Brewer on Wednesday, March 8th at 3:30 PM.
